This 22,900 square foot Memory Care Facility, broke ground late in 2007 and was finished up in 2008. SCCI was able to assist with keeping this project schedule on track by providing the Contractor with 3 of our De-Ice units. With the help of these units, the floor was placed in the middle of winter which was essential in continuing with the framing of the building. Rubber hoses filled with heated non-toxic water/glycol solution were left in place under the slab and were kept running until the weather allowed them to be shut down. This kept the frost from getting underneath and heaving the slab and the framing above. Along with the interior floor placed in the winter, this project showcased SCCI’s versatility. From heavily reinforced CIP 3’0” tall to 12’0” tall foundations to decorative stamped sidewalks this project shows that SCCI possesses all the abilities needed to successfully complete any concrete construction project.
