This project was SCCI's first experience with slip-form road paving. Our Allen Paver was used to place the roads and the curbs monolithicly. The road was placed with varying widths, having a maximum width of 32 feet, and was placed full width in a single pass. Concrete was delivered by semi-dump trucks at a pace of 150-180 cubic yards per hour. The project had four cul-de-sacs and eight intersections that were placed utilizing our fully Robotic 3-D Laser Screeds, combined with the use of SCCI's 32 meter concrete pump. The project consisted of over 6000 feet of roads, and over 4000 cubic yards of concrete. Since this project, SCCI has placed over 1 million square feet with its' Allen Engineering slip-form paver.
